Student Translation Project
HKBU 2018
Who we are
Translators
The translators of the works featured on this website are the students taking the MA course Bilingual Presentation: Adaptation and Rewriting by the Translation Programme of the English Language and Literature Department of the Hong Kong Baptist University in Semester 2, 2018. The students were working collaboratively in nine groups. The goal of this translation work was to learn about cultural aspects of translation, adaptation and rewriting needed in literary translation, experience the practical aspects of publishing a literary translation, but also to contribute towards several different initiatives to increase the visibility of Hong Kong authors by translating their works in English.
