Days in the Water City

 

The story takes place in Venice, a city in Italy known as The Floating City. The main character, Aunt Quan moved from China to Italy more than a decade ago for the sake of a better life. She opened a hostel with her husband and, after a lot of disturbances, their hostel eventually got on track. Everything that happens in the small hostel, which is located in the centre of the City of Water, provides much food for thought coupled with warm hospitality. As an authentic Chinese who has lived in Venice for many years, how did Aunt Quan deal with the cultural differences?
