Who we are
Translators
The translators of the works featured on this website are the students taking the course Translation, Publishing and Global Circulation offered by the Translation Programme of the English Language and Literature Department of the Hong Kong Baptist University in Semester 2, 2016. The students were working colaboratively in five groups. the goal of this trnslation work was to learn the conceptual and practical aspects of publishing a literary translation., but also to contribute towards several different initiatives to increase the visibility of Hong Kong authors by translating their works in English.
And those who helped along the way
Course teacher and editor. Dr Todorova is an Adjunct Scholar of the HKBU Translation Center. She is an awarded literary translator and editor of Vermilion publishing house. She is also contributing the Macedonian translation of the works.
Dr Marija Todorova
Guest lecturer on poetry translation. Mr Song is a researcher of translation and poet. He is working at the Lignan University in Hong Kong and is the Executive Director of the International Poetry Nights in Hong Kong.
Mr Chris Song Zijiang
Guest lecturer on publishing translations in Hong Kong. Audrey Heijns is a scholar and translator of Chinese poetry and prose, and editor of the online database Chinese Literature in Dutch Translation. She worked as Assistant Editor at Renditions.

Dr Heidi Huang Yu
Guest lecturer on Hong Kong literature in translation. Dr Huang has been teaching in local institutes including The Chinese University of Hong Kong, City University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong Baptist University, and Hong Kong Institute of Education in the recent five years.
Ms Meinianneli Demasi
Editor of the Finnish translation. Ms Demasi holds an MA in translation and is an experienced English into Finnish and Finnish into English translator. Her translation research is focused on translation into a non-mother tongue.
