Translating Hong Kong contemporary literature

In her academic work Dr Mary Wong explores the various relationships between film and literature. Consequently, her short story "Obsession" (迷情), is inspired by the movies "L’Avventura" and 'Blow-up", directed by the Italian director Michelangelo Antonioni. As in the film, the short story creates a mysterious, film-like atmosphere, intertwined with a feeling of emotional alienation.
